About

“Unwind the Chaos” was born on February 2nd, 2015.

Meant to provide some clarity and order to the creator’s mind, it’s been slowly filled with whatever she finds interesting, catches her attention or takes over her thoughts. Things that may otherwise be unnoticed in a world that we live in, but don’t really pay attention to.

If you appreciate the chaos that’s the human mind, you’re in the right place.

Embrace it and let it consume you.

  1. I see I’m the first here! :0) Wanted to take a moment and say, 1.) I love your blog name. And 2.) I love that you’re (obviously) a strong ass woman! Also, you have a bit of a “punch you in the face” smirk- and in my book, that’s not a bad thing. Haa…(Please know that I’m a serious joker. But I do mean 1/2 of what I say. ;0) Also, I wanted to thank you for actually speaking up on my blog. I swear, sometimes I hate the world we live in today so much, because people are lazy. They want to “silently like” (or dislike) everything. It drives me bananas! If we lose our voices, then we’ve lost our identities. I have much respect for people who take the time to actually SPEAK (write) their feelings. Kudos. 😉

    1. Yes you are! I’m still relatively new. x)
      1. Aw, thank you so much!
      2. Thanks even more! No one has ever called me that, and I love it! I’m smiling like an idiot right now. lol I think you are too (Obviously) And don’t worry, that’s not a bad thing to me either.
      3. I actually wasn’t done. lol But I completely agree! People need to understand that keeping quiet about stuff that matter is only helping the bad guys! And it actually took me a while to gather the courage, but it’s the best thing I’ve done.
I love you feel so strongly and trust me, the respect is mutual!

      1. Over the years, I’ve caught a bit of controversial flack for my posts on such topics as “On Christianity and Gay People” and other delicate issues in which I’m defending a person’s right to simply “be him or herself” and not be persecuted for it. It provokes people- sure. But we’ll ever only make a difference in this world if we’re going against the grain- to some degree. If people always love us and agree with what we’re saying 100% of the time, we’re doing something wrong. If change- real change- is ever going to happen- we have to prick the sleepy streams of consciousness. I’m willing to sacrifice my peace (sometimes) for the sake of others (and myself). And then sometimes, it’d probably be good just to shut up…haha. (I’m not good at that!) Which is why the majority of men find me a “threat” and are intimidated by me. I’m beginning to see that as a good thing. ;0) I look forward to more of your posts, and again, great to meet you!

      2. I’m behind you on this a 100%! I’m catholic yes, but I don’t agree with it’s view on homosexuality. I mean, if god it’s supposed to be love, how can he hate anyone? Plus, if we are supposed to follow his example, our job on this earth is to love one another, not to judge anyone else because of whatever they might do or believe in. If it turns out they are in fact doing something “wrong” it’s His job to judge them, not ours. Besides, I see homosexual and transgender people with so much love and pain in their eyes, and couples that love each other so genuinely, that I have trouble believing that those things that come from a place of absolute good and love, can be such a bad thing like a lot of people want to make them see. Sure, they don’t exactly follow the preconceived standards that according to society everyone’s supposed to follow, but do any of us really do? Should we be chasing each other next because we have sex before marriage or maybe don’t stay with a single partner for the rest of our lives? Where’s the line drawn?
And yes, it’s hard when you have so much to say and feel so strongly about things, yet you’re supposed to “let it go” and “stay quiet” (Which by the way it’s another sexist thing!)
Oh trust me, I know about men being intimidated by you, but I’ve learn to just roll with it. lol Because you know, I rather be single than portraying myself as less than I am just for sake of keeping a man. Besides, if a man thinks I need to shut up or something instead of keeping up, he’s definitely not someone I want to be with in the first place.
Same here, our chatty afternoon has been awesome. I am also looking forward to reading more of your posts!
        Have a great day!!

      3. Well Denisse, your viewpoints (on the word “feminist”) have been taken well and I think we- all of us- must take what we soak up and learn from others with a measure of humility. If I merely combat you in all of your counterpoints, then I’m super ignorant and cannot be taught. To me, one of the greatest things in this world is being a student- not just a teacher. And I learn every day. :0) So thanks so much for sharing your (equally strong) passions on the subject and points of view! Yes, I share your convictions and beliefs on homosexuality and loving others and all people for “who they are”, not “what they do”. I was raised in a fiery Pentecostal home- believe me- I feel ya. 😉 I still cling to my roots, but I’ve learned to cling even stronger to Jesus and HIS Words and His undying love for ALL of humanity. He’s my ultimate Teacher and my measuring stick- not other people and certainly not other Christians. Our job is to LOVE, truly, with as much compassion as we can. I fail, but that’s alright. I keep trying! I too have enjoyed our chat this afternoon. So glad to have met you and I say, KEEP SHINING. x -Birgitta
