In a society that encourages us to find what you love, give it all and have it all. It is often hard to deal and easy to get lost when you just don’t know what is it that you love to do, trust me, I’ve been there. First of all, it’s important that you come to understand that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with us. Remember when people say we’re all perfect just the way we are? Guess what, it applies to you and me too.
There’s is really no point in committing to a job or even a career where we’re not happy, but at the same time, we have to do something right? and I know how frustrating it can be when everyone around you is expecting you to get your act together, and you could, but you just don’t want to settle, you know there’s more, that feeling in your heart that tells you to keep going, to keep searching and you just can’t shake it.
A lot of people will tell you to try different things until you find something you like, and that’s okay, everyone should try new things all the time. But what I’ve learned is that people usually find what they love early in life, so chances are that by the time you enter your 20s you already know and are already doing it casually every day. Yes, you already know. Trust me, you know.
What it’s probably keeping you from admitting it is a net of excuses you’re using as reasons such as: It’s not profitable enough, maybe you don’t want to disappoint someone close to you, or you have this picture in your head of how your life should be and what you want to do doesn’t really fit in it.
In any scenario the solution is the same: stop with the excuses and do what you love.
